Career Journey:

I became a 7-Eleven franchisee eight years ago with no prior experience of running a business. Over the years the role has helped me to grow into a stronger, more confident and independent woman, because what I have learnt is, once you discover your capabilities, then you will realise that there are no limits to what you can achieve.

What is the best thing about being a woman?

I enjoyed my childhood as a daughter, then became a wife and now enjoying motherhood. The power of the three roles is unlimited.

What inspires you?

The achievements of any and all women inspires me, especially to stand for myself and strive for more.

What do you think are the biggest challenges for women when trying to move up or develop their careers?

Having the right balance between family and work life is crucial. I am running a 24/7 business so can rarely switch off from work. However, it is important that I prioritise the time I spend with my family.

What does the theme of #balanceforbetter this International Women’s Day mean to you?

Women being treated equally in every profession, everywhere. It is important that we, women, support each other to create a gender balanced world, and celebrate the achievements of all women.
